November 5th surgery
Mom reporting on the surgery event:
Tyler's surgery went very well Thursday. We think it was one of the smoothest surgeries he went thru so far. The doctor realized that the last surgery gave too much time for the tumors to grow so he didn't wait so long this time.
He gets to eat a lot of ice cream and Jello the first day or two because it feels good on his throat. He is a little bored having to be quiet and not talk as much as he loves to do, but he will be sure to make up for it once his throat is feeling better in a day or two. However he is passing some time by doing some school work so that he won’t get too far behind. Playing some Xbox is pretty fun for him as well.
It is a good thing he has a pleasant personality and a great sense of humor. As mom though, it breaks my heart every time he has another surgery, but with his sense of humor, he makes us all laugh and makes me feel much better.
He actually has quite a bit of energy, he's pretty much bouncing off the walls. If it wasn’t for the flu going around, I would probably send him back to school tomorrow or Wednesday because he is actually feeling much better.
